You must complete two forms, if you are a Non UK resident then there is a third form -

These forms must to be completed online.
You will need the following:
-Your passport details.
-A list of all countries you have visited in the last 10 years.
-Details of any previous Indian visas.
-The names and addresses of two referees, one in the UK and one in India. For the Indian one, you can put the details of the hotel you are staying in. Please note that you must include postcodes.
Make a note of the Temporary Application ID in case you need to look up more information and return to complete it later.
Select the visa options: Business, 6 month or Multiple. You can select One Year, but this will only be granted if you have previously had a 6 month visa. For an extra £55, you can apply for a two-year visa, but these are rarely granted and you will still pay the higher fee even if you are given a shorter duration.
After completing the form, you will come to a screen that asks whether you want to make an appointment and payment. Please select NO as we do these for you. If you do select yes, and make payment you might end up paying twice. Please make a note of the Web File Number displayed on this screen.
Finally, print the form and sign it in both places indicated.
