What VCL will need from you...
- Passport. Must have two blank pages and passport must be valid for:
- Single entry visa: six months on exit
- Double Seven months on exit
- One copy of the main passport page. (Which includes the photo, personal and passport information.)
- One copy of the most recent Chinese visa, if any. (Hong Kong and Macau entry stamps not included.)
- One recent passport-sized photo in colour and taken against a white background.
- One completed application form A. Please click here for the Form.

One signed Declaration form. Please click here for the Form.
- A copy of applicant's crew ID. This must be valid for at least four months on arrival if applying for a single entry visa or seven months if applying for a double entry visa.
- An Original letter from the applicant's employer.
This letter must:
-Request “C Type” visa and state if single or double entry is required.
-Give the applicants: Full name as per passport, Date of birth and Passport number Give details of Job Title and crew ID.
-State expected all entry and exit dates to and from China.
- a. Proof of approval from the Chinese Aviation Authority
OR
- b.Invitation letter from a Chinese company.
This must state: the applicant's full name as it appears in their passport (including any middle names); gender; date of birth (yyyy-mm-dd); the passport number; the dates of the first upcoming visit to China; the purpose of the visit and who will be financially responsible for the applicant. It must have been issued in the preceding 6 months, be on addressed letterhead and bearing the company stamp.Click here for template
Crew-Visa holder must enter into or exit from China with the aircraft (train and ship) he or she works for, otherwise, he or she should apply for another type of visa.

Important rule changes:
1. Section 3.6; Major family members (on your application form)
- All those under 18 must provide info of both parents, whatever the situation.
- Single person and above 18 to provide at least one family member.
- Those married must provide info of spouse.
- Widows can write 'Live alone' or 'No relatives'.
